It depends on how big the puppy is, look on the back of the bag of puppy food and check it with your puppy`s weight, it should give you the amount to start with, thenjust go from there.

Here is a recipe from a bloodhound kennel: AGE: 11 weeks 8am: 1 cup puppy chow soaked in 1 cup skim milk. Add 1/3lb hamburger, 1 tsp cod liver il, 1 tsp calcium-phosphorus powder, mix well and feed. Noon: 2 boiled eggs, 1 cup cottage cheese. Never feed raw eggs, cannot digest raw eggwhites properly. 6 pm: same as morning, omitting cod liver oil and calcium. add 1 tsp corn oil or other veg oil and one vitamin c tablet, 500mg. daily until over 1 yr old 9 pm 1 cup puppy chow, dry. After food is eaten, 1 cup skim milk. Note: Vitamin and mineral supplement should be added according to vet directions. At 3 months late feeding may be omitted, at 6 months lunch may be omitted. Add the eggs and cottage cheese to other meals in place of part of the meat. Increase the amount as the puppy grows. Give him what he will eat promptly but never allow a pan of food to stand before a healthy dog more than 30 minutes. Typical diet for a bloodhound 1yr and up is about 5 - 6 cups of good high quality dog meal, plus a pound of meat, boiled egg, 1/2 cup cottage cheese and a tblsp of corn or other oil or cooking fat. Divide into 2 meals and use water or milk to moisten the food. not too sloppy. Two or three times a week add a tsp of honey, twice a week use Tomato Juice instead of water/milk, 3 times a week use a small carton of yogurt. Let the food sit for 15 - 20 mins to allow the food to swell. this reduces the chance of gastric torsion. Always have fresh clean water available. This information was found in, "The Complete Bloodhound", and is paraphrased but accurate to the quantities. Please talk to your vet before trying this recipe on your bloodhound. And monitor closely to make sure he/she is not allergic to anything in this recipe.

You feed a westie by giving him dog food two or three times a day. If the westie is a puppy you give puppy food. If your westie is not eating the food she/he might be picky and you can talk to his vet to see.

How many times should you feed a westie puppy?

You must feed it at least 3 times a day with small amounts of food - look at the instructions on your puppy food container and follow the feeding instructions for the weight of your puppy....note the puppy weight will increase over time so you will need to feed more later, keep checking.

How often do you feed your 9 week old pit bull puppy?

3times a day (at least), of good food, until 20weeks old. After that, you can bring it down to 2. Make sure you feed good food, or homemade food to any dog/puppy. It is not necessary for you to feed puppy food to puppies. It speeds up their growth and is more dangerous then beneficial.

How many weeks old does a dog have to be to be considered a puppy?

Feed your puppy twice a day. Be sure to feed a good quality brand of dry puppy food. Twice a day is best for a 2 month old puppy on up through adult hood. You feed only what the pup will eat at the time, pick up any left over food after about 10-15 minutes. Once a day is not enough and 3 times a day tends to make a pup too picky at that age plus put on too much weight. 2nd Answer: It also depends on the appetite of your puppy. You could feed 1-3 times a day just depending on how much he wants to eat and how much he does eat.
