Use 1/3 or 1/2 of the fresh amount. So, if the recipe calls for 1 teaspoon fresh cilantro, you use 1/3 or 1/2 teaspoon of dried.

For rosemary, the ratio is three to one, fresh chopped to dried. So if your recipe calls for 2 tsp. of dried rosemary and you would rather use fresh, you will need three times as much, or two tablespoons of fresh chopped rosemary leaves.
Sources vary. One source says 1 tbsp fresh equals 1/4 tsp ground, another says 1 tbsp fresh equals 1/8 tsp ground (half as much!). So I translate them to either 1/12 tsp of ground or even less (because there are three teaspoons in a tablespoon). How about a few shakes from the jar? That's what I do when the recipe says one teaspoon freshly ground and it hasn't ruined anything yet.
The rule of thumb here is that one teaspoon of dried herb equals one tablespoon of fresh.
How big a sprig? You must be specific. But 1/2 tsp dry ground thyme = 1 tsp fresh thyme if that is any help. That's the leaves not including the stem.
