Yep. The bodies are virtually the same on all 1996-2000 model year Caravan, Voyager, and Town & Country models. The wheelbase on the Grand Caravan and Grand Voyager and most Town & Country vans are longer...but that only comes into play when talking about headliners and whatnot that involves going the length of the vehicle.
It may need a tune up and don't forget the fuel filter.

If there is sensor with wires going to it sticking out of the front of the pan, it has the level sensor.

Bearing going bad?
depends on how much money you're willing to spend on it for repairs. I have a 01 caravan with original engine and transmission and it has 286,000 and only recently started costing money.***I have a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan with 252,000 miles and going strong. Transmission replaced at 175,000 miles. Water pump and driver power window motor replaced. Of course, struts replaced. Parking brake lost its mojo at about 240,000 miles. No engine problems at al. No A/C problems. I expect to drive this car to 300,000 miles.
This vehicle is notorious for a "whining" noise. The slower you drive, the louder it is. At first I thought our power-steering pump was going, or the transmission was whining. Two mechanics told me it's normal. Just a quirk with Dodge/Chrysler products. I had that whining noise and it was the alternator making the noise through the radio. even when the radio is off. Just a thought.
The entire dash board assembly must be removed to gain access to the evaporator. Not a job for the inexperienced. If your going to try have access to a shop manual, you will need it.

I had thishappen to me on a 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan. It was the cruise control. Whenever the cruise came under a load , like going up a hill; the cruise control would fail and shut the engine down. This happen twice and both times the Dodge dealer test drove it for over 100 miles each and could not duplicate the problem. i learned to live without cruise control on the van.
Dodge ignition switches seem to have this problem. To get going again, take a rubber mallat or similar object, and give the end of the key a reasonably hard thump. Make sure to strike the key exactly on the end and straight on to avoid key damage. This should get you going again. My dodge is a 2000 and I did the same but repeatedly hit it gently and it engaged... I'll follow up with what I did to repair it... but I greased it and kept fiddling with it and got it going.
I have a 2000 dodge caravan 3.3L that was doing the same thing. I took it to a transmission shop and had my transmission rebuilt. it seemed to work for fine for a few days and then it started doing the same thing again. I was then told that it needed a new transmission computer or transmission control unit. not sure which is the right terminology. I ended up getting a used one from a salvage yard for the same make model and year for about $65. I took it to my transmission guy and he installed it and he had to set some parameters on it because i have 17inch rims on it. guess what no more speedometer jumping up and down and no more downshifting. i also started having trouble up-shifting right before i replace the transmission computer. Anyways that was my experience with my 2000 dodge caravan. I would definitely replace the transmission computer before anything else. While the above could definitely happen, I would suggest having the trans computer checked for trouble codes. The cause could be nothing more than an output speed sensor.
