Depends on the shop, economy of country you are located in and the area you shop.

However if you go find out the full price of the milk

(I don't know what currency you use so I'll use numbers)

If the full gallon of milk costs 10, the quart of the milk will cost 2.5

2.5 is got from dividing the 10 by 4

Different prices in different places. On 15 Dec 2015, in Richmond VA, it is about $1.00. In Los Angeles CA it is about $0.95, Chicago IL is $0.90, and London England is about $1.20.
