A nickel with an Indian head design on the front and a buffalo on the back is called a "Buffalo Nickel." These were minted from 1913 to 1938 in the United States. Its value depends on its condition, age, and rarity, but generally, a circulated Buffalo Nickel is worth around $1 to $3.

That design of nickel* was issued from 1913 to 1938, so you need to know the coin's condition and whether it has a mint mark under the words FIVE CENTS on the back. You can see a range of values at the site below, among others.

(*) FWIW the coin is actually a nickel rather than "nickle"

Dateless buffaloes aren't worth much, unless there is an identifiable rare variety that was one year only (such as the three-legged buffalo) that your coin has, it is really only worth 6 or 7 cents. However, if you want to, there is a product called nic-a-date, this product will ruin any numismatic value your coin has, however, it will show you the date of your coin if it is worn off, this will allow you to put it into a coin collection knowing you have the date. However, when you use it, the value doesn't increase at all and it is looked at by coin collectors as damaged. But really, dateless buffaloes aren't worth that much to begin with so you really have nothing to lose, just check your coin for rare varieties and if it has none of them and you really want a date, try using nic-a-date.
