It really depends on a number of variables...weather, time of year, location, funding, your ability to grasp all the concepts, etc. If the weather is perfect, you can avoid maintenance-related cancellations, get the required ground and flight instruction quickly, and don't fail anything, it'll run you around $3,000 to $6,000, or maybe more. The minimum Part 141 flight school requirement is 40 hours, but most people need more like 50 to 60 hours. So needless to say, it can get pretty pricey.

You can end up paying a high amount for pilot training. There are individuals who paid 40,000 up to 200,000 before they actually become a pilot. There are different certificates and training involved.

Depends where you go to get one.

If you get it from a part 141 school and use a lot of hours throughout the course it could cost you $10 000 and up.

If you get your PPL at a local school (a small part 61 school, not a pilot factory or part 141 school), and you study for each lesson, you could probably get your PPL for about $5000-$6000. (This is a very low/good price, all depending on how many hours you use and that you pass the checkride on the first try).

It depends what you mean by a 'good' pilot. To achieve the standard required to pass the basic pilot's licence in the UK - you need to complete a recognised course of instruction and pass a number of exams relating to operational procedure, aviation law etc. A 'ball-park' figure would be around £15,000 for lessons, exams, certificates etc.

That only allows you to fly a single-engined twin-seater aircraft unsupervised, during daylight hours. There are additional exams for night-flying, and twin-engined planes.

If you are asking about a private pilot license(PPL certificate), the cost should be around $7000- 10,000 depending on the area you live in.
