I recieved a ticket in Jan, 2012. The total with court cost was $454.00 that included a ticket for not having my hunting license on me (They were in my truck about 100yds away). The fine for the license fine was $90 w/court cost. FYI, I had a corn feeder in the field that hasn't had any corn in it since sept 2011. The prick wrote my up for having dust and a few black pieces of corn in the bottom of the feeder. By the way, this was my fist offense.

believe it is between $200 - $500 dollars and a one year suspension of your license on the first offense
They are very similar. Deer and elk are much alike anatomically, though elk tend to be larger. For this reason, a different caliber gun may be required for an elk. Guns like a 7mm rifle will do fine for deer, but it's questionable for elk. A 30-06 is typically a good gun for both.
Yes there are many fine double rifles out there, they do tend to be pricey.
What is the fine for spotlighting deer in NC
Yes, he enjoy fine enjoyment of hunting deer and rabbits, though he has never shot one, he just enjoys chasing them with a stick.
Personally I'd use a .308 Winchester, but it really depends on what you're hunting. If it's just deer or anything smaller, this will be perfectly fine.

I can speak for my state, North Carolina, but laws are similar in other states. To be caught head lighting, or spot lighting deer, you can lose your license, pay a stiff fine and or jail time, lose your vehicle, and your hunting weapons.
The motto of Alabama School of Fine Arts is 'Public Education with Passion'.
