Well i just replaced a head gasket on an old d4 today and it took about 4 hours if that helps depends on how much your mechanic charges an hour...
Blown head gasket
It would be recommended if coolant had mixed with the engine oil before the head gasket was replaced.
Petrol engines 4.8 to 5.0 hours dependant on cc of engine Diesel engine 7.1 hours.
Without knowing what type of engine you have, there's no way to tell you the torque specifications for the valve cover bolts, and that's pretty important. IIn 2000, several models of Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and Caterpillar engines were available for the Freightliner trucks.
Replace the head gasket for sure. That is assuming you did not continue to drive the vehicle until you destroyed the engine internally.
You have a failed gasket, seal, or hose.
Could be a leaking head gasket
your intake manifold gasket is cracked...replace it and you should be fine...if it continues you may have a bigger problem
about $600. Std. labor estimate is 5.47 hours to lift engine, replace gasket, replace engine and realign steering.
failure of head gasket :)
No. You can have the head gasket replaced. This is unless you kept driving the car with a blown head gasket and have totally destroyed the engine.
