Well, you can expect to make minimum wage at the least. (Using Ontario as an example, that's 10.50 an hour)

A majority of what a bartender makes is in tips. So while you're making your hourly rate, each customer may slap down a 3 - 5 dollar tip. That doesn't seem like much, but it accumulates, and in say, 5 minutes you've just made anywhere from 10-15 dollars with the number of customers you serve.

The next thing to factor in is location and your setting. You may work in the city at a sports bar, and rake in a decent amount of cash. Or you could be working at a high end club or resort, and be making a higher end of profit.

It's estimated around 30,000 - 60,000 a year. Just know that it's not all easy makings. You are legally liable for the customers you serve until they sober up. It can get a little chaotic keeping track of 15-20 people. If you've completed your Smart Serve, the BAC chart can really help you know when to cut someone off. Good service = Good earnings.

Bartenders in Manhattan usually make minumum wage plus tips, or a flat salary (around forty to fifty dollars) per shift, plus tips. Tips at a busy bar or restaurant can range anywhere from around a hundred dollars a night up to nearly a thousand dollars a night, depending on the establishment and the clientele. I used to be a bartender in Manhattan, and I usually made between two hundred and three hundred dollars a night in tips.

On average, Night Club bartenders make around $63,000. The sites online will say really little like $13,000 because they're not including tips. Night club bartenders get lots of customers, so they get lots of tips. Depending on how good of a bartender you are, you can make over $1,000 a night on tips, but the average amount of money a bartender makes from tips a night is $300.
