I work in a hospital in Seacaucus, New Jersey as a pharmacy technician. From what I have experienced and heard, hospitals generally pay a lot more than retail stores such as Rite Aid and Walgreens. I make about 12.50 an hour during the day and get a dollar differential per hour at night so 13.50 an hour for a night shift. My friend is a pharmacy student who works for Rite Aid. She is starting off in the 7.50 range and will receive a 1 dollar raise every year she continues to work for them as a pharmacy student so next year she will get 8.50 then 9.50 the year after or something along those lines. I hope this answers your question.
