As of 2016, there are approximately 7.5 billion people in the world.
There are said to be around 2.2 billion Christians in the world. This includes those who are registered in some European countries as members of the state Church, on an opt-out basis - in other words, in some countries you are registered as a Christian unless you take the trouble to inform the state otherwise.
Not all Christians are practising Christians in the sense of regular church attendance, and in some countries fewer than 5 per cent of the estimated Christian population actually attend church regularly. The total number of practising Christians must exceed 110 million and is probably very much higher. On the other hand, it is certainly much less than 1 billion people.
