the ocean holds .5% of whale sperm
All of it.
How do you think it's salty?
Sperm Whale.
One myth about the blue whale is that its sperm causes the ocean to be salty. This is obviously untrue, the ocean water is salty because of the salt that is dissolved in it.
In the Ocean
400 gallons comes out and on 40 gallons gets into the female the only 360 gallons goes in the ocean so who knows how much is really in the ocean.
The sperm whale lives in the deep ocean. It is in all oceans except the Arctic Ocean.
The sperm whale is the largest carnivore in the ocean and in the world. The blue whale eats some plankton too so it is an omnivore. It is also not toothed.
Pelagic zone
Yes. Whale sperm is 89% Salt, each time a whale ejaculates they produce around 500 gallons of sperm. This is what is harvested to make salt, salt IS whale sperm. Although at McDonald's, the salt used on their fries is dolphin sperm, a waste product. There is no other way to produce salt apart from ejaculation, salt rocks have been ejaculated on by animals over thousands of years, it is the only solution.
The Sperm Whale can hold it's breath much longer than any whale. It dives down to bottom of the ocean where it is dark and damp. It is able to catch and eat giant squid which is really impressive for a whale! The Sperm Whale has a huge head and is the biggest toothed whale in the world! It also has the biggest brain - it isn't as smart as you think though!
