It is very common. The intake being made from plastic gets brittle and fails.
If it is not leaking externally then it is leaking internally. The intake manifold gaskets are known to leak coolant into the engine on that vehicle. Have a trusted mechanic diagnose the problem soon because coolant mixing with engine (even in small amounts) oil will cause big trouble down the road.
You need to have the system pressure tested for leaks. The intake manifolds give alot of trouble.
If the Coolent is leaking I strongley suggest you take the car to the dealer or a dealer to get it fixed because if it leaks more it can cause trouble.

Are you sure it isn't the hose leaking AT the thermostat housing? If the car ever overheated on you, there may be a warped head. If so, you're in a BIT of trouble. Let a mechanic look at it. A consultation should cost you little or nothing.
