I think it would taste totally nasty. Pee is just like chyme, a mixture of acids, juices, and mashed up food(basically barf). So I wouldn't go drinking pee unless I was stranded and about to die!
It might put strain on your kidneys because urine is all of the unwanted product taken out of your body. If you drank it it would have no valuable nutrients and it would need to be filtered back out of the blood again. This would add on extra work for the kidneys, because that is what they do.
As a general answer: No. Unless a person has a urinary tract infection, urine, itself, is sterile, so it would be safe to drink. Please keep in mind that some infections, like chlamydia, are so mild that the person may not even know that they have it.
The other way to answer your question is to point out that in order for your kidneys to produce 400 ml (14 oz) of urine they have to filter 100 times more blood. That comes out to 40 liters, or about 10 gallons! I would not recommend drinking urine very often because it puts a strain on your kidneys.

Urine from a healthy person is sterile and harmless. It won't hurt your kidneys, but has little (if any) nutritional value. Be aware that certain medications (and illicit drugs like MDMA 'ecstasy') are passed in varying quantities in urine!
