How much does a viking long ship cost in viking money?

From what I understand, It would be about $500,000 and alot of time for research. This may not be as much depending on the length of the ship, the amount of people working on the construction, and how wide you intend to make the ship. A very small basic one also is not counted in the $500,000. This is due to the amount of people working it, the research, the methods used, etc etc....

You could make it in alot less money, and if you can get people to volunteer and help cut the trees you intend on using, It could end up being alot cheaper. Most have some professional builders, or shipwrights, in the mix when tackling such a feat.

Viking currency was not uniform, it was anything considered valuable (this could be sheep skin to gold coins). Which means that how much would be impossible to answer for almost any object. Secondly, the long-ships needed multiple people to function and as such tended to be communal to some extent, also note that vikings only connection to places outside of their immediate community were those ships, this made them more valuable then nearly any other object and as such they probably were rarely if ever traded.
