how to remove and install water pump on 1996 Nissan maximaI just had mine done, the part is about $110 from Nissan, aftermarket is about $90. the labour alone is what drives the price. Nissan told me it would take 7 hours to do @ $100 per hour. I went to an independent mechanic and he said it would take about 6 hours. But he didnt charge me 100 per hour. its an internal water pump under the timing chain. ***If the car has over 100,000 miles, ask what is the additional cost to re-tension the timing chain (the timing chain stretches over time).

I am having my starter replaced today on a 1999 Nissan Maxima for a total of $610 including parts and labor.

It will fit if the 2000 engine is a 3.0 L VQ30DE-K. They are almost identical engines

I would like to know if you have to lift the engine up in order to change the sprokets on 2006 Nissan Maxima?

I would recommend taking this repair to a qualified mechanic.

ca20? remove all the belts, water pump pulley, underdrive pulley, timing chain cover and timing belt and the water pump is accessible. I would replace the timing belt too.

In order to have complete combustion you need only a few things.-Spark-Fuel-Air-Compression-Correct TimingAny of these things could cause a misfire.A common problem with the 1992 Nissan Maxima is the fuel injectors. I would check the resistance on them and check the wiring harness.

You should use the Nissan undiluted antifreeze for your Maxima. This would require two gallons of antifreeze to fill the reserve.?æ

what would cause a nissan maxima to run slow or almost stop when it rains or snows and the distiributor is dry?

The water pump is driven off the timing chain. I would recommend purchasing a repair manual for that vehicle if you are going to DIY.

The maxima is a 3.0L while the altima is only a 2.4L. While the maxima only has 5-10 more horsepower, its extra cubic inches goes more twords torque. I would say maxima hands down. I personally have a 92 maxima, and it is not at all slow.

That's a big job to do. The water pump is behind the timing belt. So to replace the water pump, you would have to remove the timing belt and just about everything else in front of that. I would suggest bringing it in to a shop to have it done.

Yes, it should since it is the same motor, chassis. Only thing that might cause a problem would be the transmission programming.

I would say it is the left axel shaft.

First I dont think nissan sentra has a timing belt, I think it has a timing chain. I would go to www.TimingChainOrBelt.comto find out if it has a timing belt or chain. Are timing belts or chains better? I would say timing chains last

i would first check the fuses! and then replace switch 2nd! might try some w/d 40 in and one the switches you have before you replace them!

Would have to change pulleys for sprockets

It is in the console, remove the panel where the passenger's left foot would be.

Yes, but we can not tell you how to do this as this would be illegal if the car was not yours.

you probably need to replace a serpentine belt or a tensioner. check your belt and pulleys for abnormal wear and proper tension

from me constantly raping your cars exhaust while you sleep.
