Non-communicable diseases are generally a result of lifestyle factors such as a person's background, diet, physical activity/inactivity, environment, tobacco use, alcohol consumption, weight, economic and social conditions, gender ect.

A non communicable disease is one that is not contagious. For
instance, high blood pressure is a non communicable disease, as
would be any form of cancer.
