Yes. I had a quarter horse that lived to be 40--exceptionally old, and his body started shutting down. He had a hard life before I got him at age 25. Ponies live to be even older--in their early 50s. I think the record horse may have been around 45 to 48 years old. The pony was mid 50s. 30 is a good, long life for a horse.
