the usual enlistment age was 18-21 depending on your nation of origin.
You had to be at least 18 to sign up. You could enlist at 17 with parental permission. There were a few who were able to 'sneak' in under that age, but they were discharged once discovered.
You either had to be 16 or 18 ( I can't remember ), but lots of teenagers lied about their age, so got into the army early. Some of these teenagers were even as young as 14 years old!
