you can be an actor at any age you want there are actors that are like 3 so any age. I'm going to become an actor myself i hope.

It really doesn't take years, but a great deal of luck. If you are lucky enough to get a part and become known as an actress you have "made" it. Some people never become successful in acting while others do. You can go to college and major in theater arts or you can just hope and try out for parts. Either way you will need an agent to help you get parts and talent.

Some young people are lucky enough to be discovered, but that's rare these days. Getting into acting is difficult. It's best to try to get into a good acting school. Robert Redford has one called 'Sundance Studios". Even after studying acting many young people never get a break and either land up on the streets homeless, prostituting (not that I am saying you would) or go back home. A few make it.
