In Louisiana you are required to attend school until your 18th birthday unless you graduate prior to that. I believe that you can withdraw from school (although I would not recommend it!) at 17 if you have the written consent of your parent. If you fail to attend school as required, you will be referred to the Truancy/Discipline Court.

When children turn 18, they can leave home and are technically adults for whom the parent no longer has legal responsibility.
Yes. It encourages learning and education to continue at home.
no, 17 is the legal adult age in Louisiana. I live in LA too.
I don't know if there is any legal age but I'm 13 and my parents leave me at home. Only do it if 1: you feel safe about it and 2: your child is responsible
It is not legal to bake and sell baked goods out of your home in the state of Louisiana, no matter what. I was making cakes for friends a little over a year ago and when I started getting calls from people I didnt even know, I called the health department to see what I needed to do to become legal and they told me that it's not legal no matter what you do... some states you can get licensed to have a home bakery but absolutely not in the state of louisiana, so.... within 3 months, I opened my own commercial bakery.
No, he needs parental consent until he is 18.
Yes, they will be returned to the home. If they continue to run away, they may be put in foster care.
The only legal way, it to exchange attending school - for home tuition ! If you're under 16, you either attend school or are tutored at home. Home tutoring is monitored by the local education authority, to ensure you're getting an equivalent education to that of a state school. You cannot simply 'drop out'. The local education authority has the legal power to force you to attend school - or put your parents in prison if you refuse to attend !
