I have raised nine pups from one week of age because the mother could not feed them, so I'm speaking from experience in this matter, but you have to know this is time consuming they are just like a new born baby and need a lot of care and is not recommended if you can help it because their mothers milk is best for them, How ever if your talking about getting a pup from a breeder, you can get them as early as five weeks as long as they are eating soft food, I got both of my dogs at five weeks of age and they were just fine.
