We have been cultivating it for its wonderful psychotropic qualities for roughly 8000 years. About 6000BC China. Harvesting for it's fiber content probably goes back much farther. It's most likely one of the first plants we grew in crops as human beings.
There is also strong evidence that the Incas and the Mayas and also Egypt's pharoh was using it.

∙ 15y agoMarijuana is illegal in almost all US States for any purpose therefore it is illegal to use at any age. Some States allow use of marijuana for medical purposes but, you must have a valid prescription from your doctor. No one under the age of 18 should ever use marijuana for a number of reasons namely the lack of mental development. Marijuana contains chemicals which may be harmful to the brain especially over long-term usage.
