It took you many years to achieve that weight; it'll take you many years to lose it. If your goals are unreasonable, you will fail and remain obese or return to a state of obesity. Your current caloric intake must be huge, so it should be no trouble to make a modest reduction in intake, say 1000 calories per day, with no increase in activity, since you are far too large to engage in any physical activity that wouldn't endanger your life. One thousand calories should not challenge your willpower, even if it does challenge you patience. If you create a 1000-calorie-per-day deficit, you could lose 100 pounds in the next year. Just put the fork down sooner. Drink Diet Soda. (I know it doesn't taste as good as regular, but I got used to it and so can you.) Switch to low-fat and sugar-free desserts. Just 1000 calories per day!!! You can do it. Take your time. Slow and steady wins the race.
Congratulations on wanting to loose some weight! It's hard. Stick at it.
The main things are these:
1. If you get off-track, don't beat yourself up about it. Just do better the next day.
2. You do need to reduce calories and increase exercise. One easy thing to do in terms of reducing calories is to eliminate anything from your diet that contains corn syrup (a sweetener) and all fast food. This means no soda, almost no prepackaged/processed/prepared food, and no McDonald's, etc. At first this will seem hard, but if you focus on making your own lunch and cooking simple meals for yourself to avoid these ingredients, you'll do better nutritionally and also develop self-confidence.
One easy thing to do in terms of increasing exercise (which is a bit of a misnomer: you just need to increase the amount of physical exertion over the course of a day) is to always take the stairs, and to always park in the farthest spot.
3. Avoid faddish diets; the real key is lower calories and higher level of physical exertion.
4. Try to go for a walk once a day.
5. Drink tons of water--it fills you up.
6. Patience, and persistence: don't try to loose more than 2 pounds per week. If you want to loose 100 pounds, this will take you almost a full year. So don't focus on the 100 pounds. Focus on this week's 2 pounds.
Well start with small changes, reduce your portion sizes for your meals and cut out all fried foods or highly fatty foods from your meals.Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated and kill those hunger pains.Eat lots of fruit mayb 4 or 5 a day and include your favourate veges in your new diet.Bad news is there are no quick fixes to healthy weight loss so please be patient and watch the pounds melt off you week after week, don't try diet its the worst demotivator of all time howevr change your life style to something you will be able to sustain for the rest of your life, don't deprive yourself and don't over indulge either if u feel like having cake have a small piece not the whole cake okLastly increase your activty levels start by walking then icrese to jogging and as you get fitter you intensify your workouts, have faith in yourself nothing is impossible.....n gdluck never gv up,hope this helps
Diets only help weight loss. if you truly want to lose weight running is a good bet, and you don't need a gym to do it. Run maybe 2 miles every 3 days and then maybe build up from there. Just pace yourself
Get on a very strict diet and exercise plan and consult your doctor first. Its not going to be easy but you definitly need help before you get older.
