The only time you are defeated, is when you give up. Listen, no one is a failure because of difficult times. Failure is an event, not a person. True, what ever you did or did not do may have led to a failure event, but that does not make you a failure or a defeated individual. Look at the Wright Brothers when they were attempting to build a flying machine. The first time they tried, it failed to achieve flight. They did not give up or call it defeat. They went back to the drawing board and tried to figure out why the machine did not fly. They changed some of the design, engine parts, etc. and tried again. Guess what? It failed again. Now, they could have said, "that's it, we are just failures, we might as well go fishing." No, they went back to the drawing board, and made more changes. They took lessons learned from each failure event, and kept on trying until finally they achieved flight. Do you understand? They did not admit defeat, and did not consider themselves failures. This is what it takes today as it did for them in times past. It takes courage, a will to change circumstances, a specific objective, a written plan to achieve that objective, 100% commitment and perseverance. Too many individuals give up today. With the right attitude you can achieve just about anything you put your mind to. "Attitude is everything!"
