You cannot control your guinea pigs actions so you must play with your guinea pigs a lot to prevent them from running away. Or you can try walking slowly in to the room calling their names and talking to them, that's what I do!
It probably doesn't like being bathed.
Most of the time guinea pigs scream (squeak) because they enjoy you petting them or they are encouraging you to pet them. My guinea pig squeaks when I pet her or pick her up because she knows that I am about to give her food. Sometimes guinea pigs scream because they don't want you to pick them up. If that is the case the screaming is followed by scratching, biting, running away, or acting dead.
yes guinea pigs can be kept in the conservatory my guinea pig is and she loves it because its away from the loud sounds and nice and light and spacious
guinea pigs are not born blind. they have to be very independent to get away from their predetors within a week
Yes. But It's best to know that they will most likely not get along at first. To fix that you will have to keep them in the same cage for about 2 weeks (It will give them time to show who is dominant). But otherwise, yes, guinea pigs do get lonely and should always have a friend. WARNING: NEVER GET YOUR GUINEA PIG A FRIEND AND THEN GIVE IT AWAY, THE GUINEA PIG WILL GET LONELY AND START BEING DEPRESSED AND MAY STOP EATING.
If a guinea pig runs away from you, it is really nothing personal. Since guinea pigs are originall from the wild, they have a habit of running away for their own self-protecting.
by running away or biting with its sharp tusk
it could be that ur guinea pig is pregnant when there pregnant they dont like to be touched
I really wouldn't recommend that. They are highly prone to running away.
If there is a red growth on your guinea pig you need to take her/him to a vet right away!
It probably doesn't like being bathed.
yes because the crabs could hurt or even kill the guinea pig with its claws
No, you should not touch them right away. Wait for a few days (a week or so) and let them get use to their cage and their parents. Then pick them up.
No, the male wont harm them.
in room temperter keep your cavies away from open windows
Can, but as she moved away initially, a judge may not consider it.
You should keep the baby guinea pigs with their mothers until they are around 3-5 weeks!
