So it all depends, whether you're in good health and you get it or whether you're already weak and you get it then you could have a chance of living or you could die. In the Elizabethan era, many died due to the techniques that doctors used. The most popular was bleeding or pricking an infected person and letting the "infected blood" or "bad blood" flow out. These repeated bleedings would occur until the person was rid of or died from the disease.
