Normally, a Queen comes into heat every two or three weeks, and once she has been mated and had kittens, the heat cycle often starts again as soon as the kittens are weaned. Sometimes, a female cat can become fertile again as soon as the kittens are born.

However, this is far from recommended as letting a cat become pregnant constantly without "resting" her. Letting a cat become pregnant again so soon takes a huge toll on her health and overall quality of life, which then in turn puts any offspring at risk. Unless you are an experienced breeder then the best option is to not even consider having any litters, and get the cat neutered instead.

Additionally, there are so many cats and kittens who need homes, it's not a good idea to bring even more into the world, where finding new homes for the kittens is not guaranteed.

Typically 6-8 weeks after she gives birth, although sometimes it happens only 1 week after. The awkward thing is that cat reach sexual maturity at 4-6 months so a son of a cat can mate with his mother soon after he is born. (this is called cross breeding and is done when trying to keep a breed pure/alive, and cats don't really care who they have sex with) ttp://cats.about.com/od/reproduction/f/How-Soon-Can-A-Cat-Go-Into-Heat-After-Giving-Birth.htm

When do you get female cat fixed after first litter?

As soon as the kittens are weaned; preferably fairly shortly after so she doesn't get pregnant again. The mother cat's ovaries produce hormones that are essential for milk production; once the kittens no longer require milk, the mother cat can be spayed.

How old does a cat have to be to get another cat pregnant?

Depends how many times a cat is allowed to breed. A Queen comes into heat every two or three weeks, and once mated the heat cycle often starts again as soon as the kittens are weaned, so as many as 4-6 litters a year. However, this is far from recommended as letting a cat become pregnant constantly without "resting" her takes a huge toll on her health and overall quality of life, which then in turn puts any offspring at risk. Unless you are an experienced breeder then the best option is to not even consider having any litters, and get the cat neutered instead. Additionally, there are so many cats and kittens who need homes, it's not a good idea to bring even more into the world who will need homes.

If a female cat is pregnant will she still mate with a male cat?

No. A female cat will only mate while she is in season. Once a mating is successful and kittens conceived, the female will no longer be in season and will not do so again until the kittens are born and weaned off onto solid foods. This is untrue, a female cat can mate and become pregnant as soon as a week after giving birth to a litter - she will also mate well into her pregnancy

Can a cat get pregnant while in heat?

Yes. A can will accept a mate and become pregnant only when she is in heat. At no other time will she want to mate.

Do pregnant cats hump?

If heavily pregnant, yes, the cat will most likely be showing. At sometime around the fifth week of pregnancy, you will probably be able to notice the cat's stomach is getting a little bigger and rounder. A cat's nipples become enlarged and become very pink around three weeks into the pregnancy. This is the easiest sign to see if your cat is pregnant. If you are unsure, it is best to go to a vet who can scan your cat which will tell you if your cat is expecting kittens, and possibly how many.

What if a pregnant cat does not produce milk?

Then you will have to bottle feed the kittens or get another cat with kittens to do it. You can ask a vet if you need kitten formula. A pregnant cat will usually not show milk until soon before she gives birth.
