How test Chevy Trailblazer blower switch?
if you lost one or two fan speeds you need to change the blower motor resister. it sells for around $60.00 at a dealer only.
Either a broken wire - faulty switch - or bad ground. You're going to need a test light to find the fault here. Is there power to the hot side of the blower switch? Does power transfer to the cold side when the switch is turned on. Is power reaching the blower. Blowers rarely fail BUT it can happen.
Well you got ten years out of it. Put in a new one. Fuse??? Take a test light and see if there is power to the blower. Had this problem on my 1998 silverado with blower working on only high speed. Replaced the resistor, relay, and motor. Didn't help. Finally decided to use a test light to check for power. Started at connection supplying power to the blower motor switch then checked for power at…
The Heater blower has stopped working - How do you troubleshoot the switch and repair on a 1995 Ford Escort?
To test the blower motor resistor, unplug the resistor connector. Each blower motor switch input terminal on the resistor must have continuity to the resistor output terminal, which is connected to the circuit going to the blower motor. If the blower motor resistor continuity does not check OK, replace the faulty resistor. You need a multimeter to test the resistor block and there should be continuity between all terminals.
No Blower in Floor Mode A customer arrives with a 1983 to 1995 Full Size Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury automobile with automatic temperature control. If the complaint is no blower operation when the floor mode is selected, the vehicle may have a problem with the thermal blower lockout switch also referred to as the CELO (cold engine lock out switch). The thermal blower lock out switch is located in the heater core intake hose. The…
If in fact it is the blower motor that is the problem. First check the fuse in the fuse block under the rear passenger seat and the fuse block under the hood. Next check the blower motor resistor. Remove the lower inspection panel under the glove box area. If you pull the glove box around the stop tab and let it fall it will reveal the blower motor. There is a pair of wires that…
How do you determine if the heater blower switch or heater blower motor is bad on a ford 2002 crown Victoria?
You can unplug the blower motor and run a jumper wire to test the blower motor. If it is grounded through the plug you'll have to run a ground wire to it also. Blower Motor tested good. The Problem was the Blower Motor Controller which was located on the firewall just below the Heater Hoses. Thanks for responses to question.
