Very carefully. You have to remove all the belts, alternator, water pump. Then you can easily loosen it and slide a new one back on making sure to not screw up the timing. There is a hole on the camshaft gear to put a drill bit through to line it up. You'll need a chilton manual to do this job. I had mine done and since they had to remove all the belts I had them put new ones one. Only about a $300 job at a decent shop.
