Basically you remove the throttle body, fuel rail, and anything else that is plugging into it, then unbolt it. You need to get a shop manual however, because there is a specific bolt pattern you need to use to avoid damage.
To remove the intake manifold on the eclipse it is important to firstly remove the air intake, breather hose and the sensor at the top of the manifold. The battery should also be removed to remove the intake manifold on an eclipse.
if its the air intake this is what u do, first remove the clamp that's attached to the throttle body. Then, remove the mass air flow cable, and in the air filter box it has 3 bolts you remove.
Remove the retaining bolts from your 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse manifold. The manifold will come off. Remove the manifold gasket. Clean the surface and put the new manifold gasket on.
The exhaust intake manifold is held in place with 10 retaining bolts. Remove the retaining bolts and the intake manifold will come off.
You have to remove the intake manifold to access the plugs in the back.

intake ports are differnt non-turbo only one vac port for the fuel reg.

There is 2 of them. and they are under the intake manifold. You will have to remove the intake manifold to get to them.
Remove the intake manifold retaining bolts from your 1993 Mercedes-Benz manifold. Remove the old manifold gasket. Clean the surface and put the new gasket on.
Remove the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and then remove the head.

On top of the trans underneath the intake manifold.
Remove the intake manifold retaining bolts from your 1996 Chevy Astro Van. Remove the manifold gasket and clean the surface. Reverse the process to install the new intake manifold gasket.
