Well to my understanding, you have to drop the transmission pan, remove the gaskets (you will need new ones later), then drain the fluid, then replace with new gaskets and replace pan, then refill fluid. I don't know how else to do it myself.

The 2001 Rodeo has a sealed transmission. The only way to change it is to pump out the old fluid and refill it via the route. This is not for the weekend mechanic and I suggest that you have a dealer do it.

In my 93 Isuzu Rodeo you have to add your transmission fluid buy poring it into the the transmission fluid dipstick.

Trannythese Isuzu transmissions take dextron III with mercron

The Rodeo tranny is completely internal, so you can either go to a dealer/shop to change it, or find a pump of some kind to fill through the overflow hole on the right side of the tranny body. Not the best design.

A Google search will give you many sites with detailed instructions on changing transmssion fluid. Warning: Use only genuine Honda ATF Z1 fluid in this car. The use of any generic or so-called all purpose fluid will cause hard shifts and may damage this transmission. Go to a Honda dealer and purchase the correct fluid. On most Honda's you will also more than likely not be able to change the filter, as it is internal, and a lifetime filter.

It could be low of ATF automatic transmssion fluid. Check it. The pump could have failed also.

well you have to think does it have transmission fluid in it cause most cars i know will start fine but not move due to no transmssion fluid so check and make sure you have fluid then we can go from there.

On the 2002 Rodeo the transmission is sealed and is non servicable by the owner. You cannot even check the fluid level so I advise taking it to an Isuzu repair shop.

I believe its a synthetic trans fluid it should tell you in your owners manual
