I don't think they've announced another system yet.
Follow a tutorial on Youtube, or just get a new classic controller for your Nintendo Wii. A classic controller for the Nintendo Wii system is probably less expensive than purchasing the tools to fix a broken one.
The newest Wii accessories revealed in 2013 include: The Charge Station U for The Wii U, and the The Pro Commander. The Charge Station U simply charges Wiimotes. The Pro Commander is a new controller with a different stick configuration; much like the Xbox 360's controller.
Make sure that the remote controller is switched off and also that the helicopter's tiny switch on its right side is switched to 'charge'. I had to search for the helicopter switch but once I found it, it charges just fine through my MacBook Pro with OS X (10.6).
Most likely, since Sony and Microsoft are both making "pros" of their consoles: Play Station 5 and Xbox Scarlett. NIntendo has been working on a secret project which has a few thousand lines of code. It could just be another update, but it is very likely that it could be the development of the Switch Pro.
It depends on which remote you are refering to. The Wii Motion Plus controller and the classic Wii Remote will work on the Wii and Wii U. The Wii U gamepad will not work on the original Wii.
