How to fault fine using your gauge manifold?
You have replaced your exhaust system with a new one up to the exhaust manifold the exhaust manifold looks fine but you still get loud engine noise inside the car?
Temp gauge on 1994 g20 stopped working it seemed to always be on the low side van runs fine bought last year wire is secure to the sensor haven't pulled dash panel to check gauge yet ideas?
You can check the temp. gauge operation by removing the temp. gauge sending unit plug and touching it to any engine ground with ignition on but the Van not running. Not under "normal" conditions. I have made very fine gauge copper wire explode by putting a few thousand amperes through it, but that was not the copper specifically exploding. Any fine gauge wire regardless of what it is made of with that much current passing through it heats rapidly and vaporizes, producing an explosion.

Your best bet would be to go to oreillys or auto zone and get a small gas gauge and unhook the wires from the gauge in your dash and run it to the side and put it by the pillar... First thing you need to do is remove the oil sending unit from the right rear back of intake manifold. Get a oil pressure gauge and screew into it's place, start engine and watch gauge to see what is really going on. If it is not droping no more then a few LBS. Then replace sending unit.
