You will need: A pint of Pace brand picante sauce, a pound of Cheddar cheese, a half a cup of milk, tap or filtered water, and a 3 quart saucepan. And a stove. And maybe a jalapeno if you like it REALLY HOT.
Shred the pound of cheddar cheese and set it aside.
Dilute one half cup of milk with one quarter cup of water (tap or bottled, whatever you have) in the pan.
SLOWLY warm it, sprinkling shredded cheese into the diluted milk. Do not warm it FAST.
AS cheese is melting, you will want to be very careful, because the thicker it gets, the easier it is to burn it.
WHEN the cheese is all melted, add the picante sauce, TO TASTE. BE CAREFUL. THINK of your GUESTS. If you want it HOT HOT HOT, slice up that jalapeno, seeds and all. YOW! Now THAT'S the good stuff!
***Some folks like to throw in some diced, cooked chicken, too!

EDIT: disregard that - Nachos aren't Mexican to start with (they were invented in Texas), but I would imagine they wouldn't involve a microwave(!) if they were, what the heck happened to using an oven? Also, bacon bits?, shredded cheese?, not really.. very.. Mexican there.
EDIT: I don't know if the person above me is right, but according to Wikipedia it says Nachos were invented in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. But ya, Bacon bits isn't exactly put in Nachos, Cheese is, but white, not yellow cheese. Also, you can as well add guacamole, as well as, unless you like warm salsa, I suggest microwaving it first.
Buy shredded cheese, place in bowl, and microwave for 45 seconds.
you take thin cheese lay it on some chips put it in the microwave take it out and if you want you could add some toppings
Nacho cheese is made of cheddar cheese, milk, flour and butter. Peppers are often added to provide heat to the sauce.
Get a bag of Tostidos. Get some salsa. There you go.
