You have a screw on the inside of the door near the side mirror, a screw behind the door handle, and 2 or 3 at the arm rest. the rest is carefully start pulling the lower part of the panel off from the bottom to the top. You will more than likely break a couple of plastic push pins that you can get from the parts store. Then the top part is a jiggle and wiggle to get it free. The speaker is now accessable from under the thin plastic.

i have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but i think it should be pretty similar...on the door pannels, there are little covers that can be popped off with a screw driver...underneath these covers, there are screws...i think there are 3 or 4 screws in the front doors, and 2 screws on the back doors...after you take the screws out, just tug on the edges of the pannel, and the pannel will pop off. It might make a kind of loud popping sound, but dont be alarmed, just pull it off. You will have to disconnect the wiring harnesses that are attached to the door pannels for the locks and windows, but after that you are done.

In the 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, the two tweeters in the front dash area can be replaced rather easily. The trim piece that covers the tweeters runs the full distance of the dash from left to right. That trim piece just pops out. Using a flat screwdriver (or some other small thin flat device) carefully pop the trim piece out. With the trim out, you will see there are two screws that hold each tweeter in place. Remove the screws on each speaker, pull the speaker partially out of its mounting spot and then disconnect the wire connecter from the speaker (be careful not to let the wire connecter fall into the speaker cavity). It's best to have the new tweeter right next to the old one so you can remove the wire connecter from the old tweeter and immediately place it on the new tweeter. Repeat this procedure for the other side and then put the trim piece back in place and tap it back into place. I presume this procedure will be the same for most 99 and later WJ's. I've blown both tweeters on my 99 three times now. I HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT use the factory speakers because they obviously cannot handle the power (MY GC has the infinity gold high output stereo). I used the factory tweeters and they just keep blowing out. This time around, I'm going to find after-market tweeters that will accept the wire connecter and that have the same bolt pattern.
