The ignition switch. Where the key goes in is the key tumbler.
I believe that the switch is located in the ignition cylinder (which you can get from any auto parts store). Unfortunately you'll need a steering wheel puller and a tilt removal mechanism before you can start with that.
It is quite simple to replace the turn signal switch on your 1990 Buick LeSabre. The turn signal switch simply plugs in and out.
fuel pump keeps running after the key is out what do I need to check I have to remove the fuses to stop the pump.
turn the ignition key on
My experience with a faulty ignition switch on this generation Regal include random warning lights coming on together and turning off at the same time. Eventually, the car will sometimes stall when the turn signal switch is used. This is due to the turn signal switch "bumping" the wires leading into the ignition switch. Apparently, the wire connections inside the ignition switch sometimes tend to loosen. Dealer cost runs around $350 to $400 to replace.
A ton of Buick and GM owners replace the ignition switch so that their cars won't cut out and KILL THEM.

Do you mean the main switch by the driver or the switch on the door itself?
You have an open question as to what you are asking. Are you referring to the key and tumbler assembly or the actual ignition switch meaning the electrical part? If you mean the key and tumbler then you need to have a locksmith do it or a repair shop as the key is coded for your car. If you are referring to the switch then in that case you will need special tools to remove it.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the ignition coils. Remove the ignition control module that was under the coils, and replace it.
turn ignition on leave it on for 10 minutes then switch ignition off then you start the car
Do you mean for the door or the main switch on the driver's side? The main switch is very easy to replace... not sure about the door switches.
replace the combination switch on the turn signal stalk
On top of the lower portion on the steering column.
