Corroded or worn socket Loose connection Bad turn signal flasher? Defective bulb?
Well, if none of them work, (front or back) I'd suspect a fuse or the flasher. Do the 4 way emergency lights work? If so, they operate on a separate flasher and this would indicatethat the turn signal flasher is bad.
the turn signal relay is stuck and needs to be replaced

The flasher on a 2002 Alero is all part of the hazard switch up on the dash. I just had mine replaced under GM's special policy for the signal light problem and I asked them where the flasher was.
The front or rear turn signal flasher bulb may be burned out and needs to be replaced. The turn signal flasher my be defective and should be replaced. The hazzard lights have a flasher unit of their own. These are found up in under the dash in the steering column area.
I'd guess that either there is a burned out bulb on that side of the car, or your flasher has died. The flasher would affect both sides of the car though.
Turn signal flasher is part of the hazard warning module and replaced as a unit
Your turn signal flasher needs to be replaced. Note: there is no such thing as "blinker fluid".

Many mistake the hazzard flasher for the turn signal flasher. Maybe you replaced the hazzard flasher? Also, a burned out bulb will not give enough electrical resistance to the circuit, and result in a very slow or stopped flash. Since your flasher is most likely mechanical, turn on your hazzards and put your fingers over the flasher unit. If you feel it click on & off, then you need to find the turn signal flasher.. because you are touching the hazzard flasher.
If neither signal light works, the flasher may very likely be the problem. The hazard lights and the signal lights work off different flashers.
The body computer is the turn signal flasher.
Same flasher for left and right signals but a different flasher for the emergency flashers.
