Most older GM headlight switches are removed by (diconnect battery) reaching under dash to the headlight switch and depressing the small release button at the top of the switch while pulling on the stem for the switch then unplug the wire harness. There is a stem nut behind the knob that fastens the assy to the dash surface.

There is a vacuum line attached to the back of the headlight switch on the dash. When you pull the switch out to turn on the lights this allows vacuum to open the light doors through rubber vacuum lines. When you turn the lights off this cuts the vacuum to the lights and a spring opperates the doors and closes them.

Of which low pressure switch are you speaking? Engine oil pressure switch? If you're checking that, remove the oil pressure sending unit and temporarily put in an oil pressure gauge. If you're checking the AC low pressure switch, pull the switch from the AC low pressure line, Jumper the switch socket and see if the AC compressor comes on. If it does, you either have low refrigerant pressure or a bad switch. If you KNOW the pressure is up and everything else works, you have a bad switch.

You need to take the screws out of the lower dash panel next to the drivers side door and across the top. Then find a steel button on the bottom of the switch. When you push the button pull out the knob you use to turn the lights on. The knob should come all the way out. Then turn the outer screw out that holds the switch onto the dash board. The switch should come off. Then unplug it from the wires on the back.
