To find out who conceived John the Baptist we must look at what is recorded in chapter one of Dr. Luke's Book, Luke, in The Bible. It is stated that, "… after those days his [Zacharias the priest's] wife Elisabeth conceived…" (verse 24). Therefore, the "Spirit" did not conceive John the Baptist, it was Elisabeth who conceived John the Baptist. If the question is who begat John the Baptist, we can also find the answer to that question in verse 13. The angel Gabriel told the priest Zacharias, "… thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John." The word "thee" in that passage is the Greek word ÏƒÎ¿Î¹Ì which literally means tothee, thine own (Strong's Concordance, G4671). So we know that John the Baptist was the literal biological son of his father Zacharias and his mother Elisabeth. The fact that she was barren (not able to have children) and in her old age when she conceived John the Baptist in itself was a miracle of God just like it was a miracle of God when Sarah, Abraham's wife, was barren and in her old age when she conceived their son Isaac. When John the baptist was born both his parents were old, a similar story to Sarah and Abraham, Sarah and Elizabeth were barren, but when the angel Gabriel gave the news, Sarah and Zachariah did not believe it so they were stricken dum till the birth. It is possible that both Johns parents died when he was small.
John the Baptist was born around the end of March beginning of April (Aviv in Hebrew meaning green-ear) being the 1st of the year and beginning of Months according to God-Exodus 12:1-2. When also we know Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) was born around the Feast of Tabernacles (he tabernacled with man), we know this because of the time that John's father (Zacharias), his time of burning the incense on the altar, his time called course in most bibles and they say a priest may only get his change to burn incense on the altar maybe once in his lifetime because of so many priest. And John is 6 months older than his cousin Yeshua(Jesus) Luke 1 and Yeshua being born around the end of September (7th month on the Hebrew Calender) making our Messiah conceived during 'Chanukah' (Feast of Dedication) John 10:22 also called: "The Festival of Light". what better name fo the Light of the World being conceived during 'The Festival of Lights' and John a few months later being born just before Passover being the 14th of Aviv(Nisan). But nowhere does it give the exact day, but we can figure the month. Luke 1:24-26(vs 36) helps with Elisabeth getting the news of Merriam(Mary) being pregnant with Yeshua(Jesus).
No. the bible does not say that explicitly.
Please note the bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So John , his mother and father were sinners that is why they died.
No, he was conceived the usual human way. His father was just informed of this before the act by an angel of God.
