In ancient Egyptian times they used to use a hook and pull it through the nose!
All the organs were removed and, as the brain had no spiritual value, it was discarded. Organs such as the heart and liver were kept in small jars. Actaully, i thought that the brain was removed because it would rot the rest of the skeleton
Assuming the question is about Egyptian mummies, the depth the mummy was buried depended on the family's wealth and social status. Only the more wealthy people could afford the full mummification process. Poorer people were buried in shallow desert graves, where dryness of the desert would create a natural mummy. The wealthier mummies would be interred in tombs, the most commonly recognised tomb is the mastaba, the body buried deep (~30ft) below the ground, the shaft blocked up by rocks. As for the mummification process - yes, the brain was removed. the Egyptians did not know what purpose the brain functioned, they believed that thought and personality lived in the heart. To avoid damaging the head, the brain was pulverised using a hook on a wire, and removed through the nasal cavity.

What do you mean? Like how they become a mummy Mostly what happens though, is that their organs are removed and placed in jars. then their brain is removed through the nose using an instrument called a brain hook. The body is soaked in a liquid, then the fabric is wrapped around the body. the mummifier puts charms of good luck and good spirit, that they believed would help them in the underworld. they put these charms in between the layers of cloth. Then when the person is buried, their organs in jars (not their brain) are buried with them. Hope this helps! Next time be more precise with your question though.
The book of live.

The old collection
No, the mummy is buried in a tomb. When they bury it, it's already dead.
It was believed that mummified relative could pass through death if they had enough possessions buried with them. For this reason, there were massive treasures buried in Egypt's tombs.
