How was the geography of the Southern Colonies helpful to the colonists living there?

The geography was helpful to the colonist living there because

they had fertile soil and a warm climate so it was very easy to

grow crops there. The crops they grew were rice, indigo, corn and

cotton. The main cash crop was tobacco
