How were the native Americans in America affected by explorations?
The natives were affected by exploration because they were exposed to diseases that they had never seen before.
Native Americans started America as a country, establishing living environments that we can credit life on this country to. When the white men came to America from Europe, the Native Americans taught them how to fish, farm, hunt, and build. Without Native Americans, America would not be half of the intelligent superpower that it is today.
It was a swap between the two. Corn (North America) and potatoes (from South America) were introduced to the colonists. As well as tobacco but this wasn't a food crop. Barley, wheat and rye was introduced to the native Americans by the colonists.Potatoes actually save Europe from famine as they didn't have enough to feed all at the time. It was one reason that these explorations were done.
It does not affect our religion in North America so much as the pilgrims affect our religion. Columbus came to America in 1492 and the pilgrims came here in the 1600's. Columbus did a genocide against Native Americans and the pilgrims extended trading and agriculture practices with the Native Americans. Things were fine for a long time after the pilgrims, until manifest destiny happened much later.
They ARE native to America.
