Like his world is collapsing. Not that there should be any particular sympathy, except for his wife.
He'll obviously have to find a new job/career, and it can be hoped that this won't impact his wife and family too much.
Mary Karr's "The Art of Men (I Prefer Mine al Dente)" touches on her experiences with relationships and exes, but it is not specifically about seeking revenge on an ex-mistress. The book explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery through Karr's witty and candid storytelling.

l think that the mistress's boyfriend will be pretty upset ANSWER: I will say, what a good KARMA. He taste his own medicine for betraying his wife. Funny thing is the man that I married who had an affair with the woman he met on a dating site, also has a boyfriend and my loving husband didn't know about. I found out this story when this woman started to annoyed me on the phone. I asked her if the man I married knew about it, she said no because he never bother asking and she told me that my loving husband only wanted friendship from her. Ditto!! so I guess his mistress has a point. My husband wanted close friendship with her including benefits, so it's felt wonderful to know then that he protected his mistress to my face but at the same time his mistress boyfriend is sharing her to my husband. Sweet revenge really. And yes icing in the cake my husband's mistress has STD that she caught from her real boyfriend and guess what my husband wasn't using protection..... there you go..

It may mean that the person is mad at you or the person is trying to get revenge.
Medea.
Medea of Colchis.
The main theme of the Iliad is revenge, particularly the revenge Achilleus seeks on Agamemnon after Agamemnon steals his mistress. This revenge causes Achilleus to withdraw from the fighting for an extended period of time, costing many Greeks their lives and almost costing the Greek army the war. He only rejoins the battle when his pride causes the death of his dearest friend, Patroklos, and even then, it is again with the intent of revenge, this time against Hektor, who killed Patroklos.

Yes it is wrong to try to seek revenge on the married man for leaving the mistress to try and work things out with his wife, son and lost friendship. Although there have been mistresses for centuries it doesn't make it right. The mistress unfortunately is generally no more than a use for sex and nothing but sex. She may bring some vitality into the man's life, but he is there because he wants sex without commitment and it's always at the expense of his wife and children. To put it bluntly, the mistress who is fully aware the man is married would be delusional to think that the married man would ever leave his wife and marry her (a extremely small percentage do) and two things happen #1 he realizes he is doing something wrong or has got caught cheating or #2 he wants to leave his wife and therefore keep his freedom and the wife and mistress no longer fit into his plans. There has always been a silent code between women ... never date someone else's boyfriend or a married man. It happens and a woman can accidentally fall in love with a married man, but, if she's smart she'll move ahead alone and realize 'it's alright to look, but don't touch.' Mistresses are no more than what prostitutes do only prostitutes are smarter and get the money up front!
