Read newspaper regularly and thoroughly. prepare notes on it, segregating your notes under different headings like: polity, economics, national, international, sports etc. this practice will definitely help you to prepare for your general studies. this is only a part of your preparation.

There are books for the preparation on BBA exams but it would be helpful if you mentioned which college you want to apply to, some details change from college to college, however mostly the syllabus remains unchanged. You can also join entrance coaching classes for BBA, they always have the correct books to help you prepare.

Hope this helps!

It depends on each individuals. Here are a few example for you to categorise yourselves which method suits you best:

1. If you are the one who would always do your homework (with hardwork added) and do revisions systematically every week, you only need to prepare for exam maybe a month before to do speed reading and revision to confirm and remember everything you had learnt

2. If you are the exact opposite of above - you may do homework but mostly skimmed through it only and no early revision, you should prepare yourself 2 months before just to give you a headstart. chances is, you will procastinate because of the long period before your exam but you have to train your own persistance and hopefully it will improve as you revised more. Which is why you need an extra one month allowance to get you on track

3. If you one of those 'geniuses' who claims you can just study everything in a few weeks before the exam then you better make sure you are really that good. I wouldnt advise it as each semester brings different challenges and you might overestimate yourself which could be fatal to your grades. But if you are confident and choose to proceed, my best advise is at least 2 weeks before with INTENSE revision. If you are a procastinator, this is not your style definately

4. If you are a slow learner no matter how hard you try you need to began preparing 6 months before. It sounds long right? But it doesnt have to be intense. Focus on understanding each chapter and use your long time to do as much revision you can and search for advise or help from lecturers, teachers or peers. Only once you grasp the basic understanding, give yourself 1 month in doing revision and an additional one more month for an intense revision which focused on where you gone wrong and how to improve it

5. Lets say if you are repeating a subject or done the same subject in other course (usually apply to pre-university student going to undergraduate studies) and score an average or above, you will need a minimum of 1 week before the exam. But that one week should an intense revision to refresh your memory. Redo all revision from scratch as you will be surprise how much you have forgot despite how much you thought you remembered.

if you are not in any of these categories, feel free to explain more details on your predicament and i will see if i can answer it

IIT JEE preparation is not a one night process. It requires rigorous and planned approach. The first step (and remember, someone wise once said that the first step is the most important step) in your preparation and your journey into one of the IITs is the belief in yourself that you have it in you to realise this dream.

Second step is to get a mentor, a guide, a teacher who can guide you exactly how to proceed. You can get online help and lot of study material at locus education website at www.locuseducation.org or at www.wiki.locuseducation.org

In fact, an even better option is to get new-age help in this age of internet. You cannot rely on old methodologies for preparation in this day and age. One should study from DVDs and get online support from one such centre: www.kaysonseducation.co.in One can order DVDs from them and subscribe to online lectures so that no lecture is missed.
