Left 4 Dead 2 has a lot of new features and upgrades then left 4 dead for example there are new special infected. Also it is set up in a different part of the world and you play as 4 new survivors. Also you can get some type of fire bullets that set anything you shoot on fire such as tanks and infected ect... On one system? You can't. You can only play co-op between two people on one console because the split screen can't split up into three and still give you visibility you need to shoot the zombies. In order to play with three or four players on Left 4 Dead, two people can be on one console and the third and fourth can be on another or you can all be on separate consoles.

Well i guess it depends on what you're into but in my opinion, Left 4 Dead 2 is way better! It's totally up to you though, but I recommend Left 4 dead 2.
