um it could be because you are close to your period. inside your body is getting ready for it so that's why it hurts to be sure were a pad just in case because your probably really close; but if you have cramps for a long period of time like i have there is no explantion

I am 48 years old and so sick of having my period and cramps, i get cramps in low back and low stomach what i find that really helps alot is advil every 4 hours whether you need it or not if you take it for 2 days (the two worse days are the day before and the 2nd day for me) so i take 2 tablets every four hours and it really helps alot.

When your period first starts it is really irratic so it coming really close together or far apart is normal. It will even out eventually.

Some people have periods earlier than others. you might just have a sickness or something. usually people don't have cramps for two weeks before the period, only a day or two.
