Not enough information has been given and the plus or minus signs are missing but in general the area of a rectangle is its length multiplied by its width and measured in square units.

### Why area of rectangle is lbh?

I assume lbh in the question means length, base (or width) and
height. Those three dimensions multiplied together calculate the
volume, not the area, of the figure for cubic dimension. The area
is calculated by multiplying the length and the width for squared
dimension. In simpler terms; Area of rectangle is lw; Volume is
lwh.

### How do you convert a cubic yard into square yard?

I don't think you can convert a cubic dimension into a squared
dimension as a cubic dimension applies to volume and a squared
dimension applies to area. Length X Width = Area (squared
dimension); Length X Width X Depth = Volume (cubic dimension). One
square yard = nine square feet; One cubic yard = 27 cubic feet.

### How do you work out the diagonals of a rectangle?

Well, you know that in order to classify a shape as a rectangle
all of the sides have to be congruent or 90 degrees. If you draw
the diagonal of that rectangle, you come up with two right
triangles. So you can use the Pythagorean theorem (a squared+b
squared=c squared) to find out the diagonal.
Ex: If the length=4, and width=3, then diagonal=5, because 4
squared+3 squared=5 squared.

### What is the formula to find the diagonal of a rectangle?

The diagonal of a rectangle is the third and longest side of a
triangle with sides the same as those of the rectangle, so its
length is the square root of the sum of the squares of the lengths
of the sides of the triangle, (Pythoagoras' Theorem) which are also
the sides of the rectangle. If the rectangle is 3 inches by 4
inches, then the diagonal is the square root of 3 squared (= 9) and
4 squared (= 16) so the diagonal is the square root of 16 + 9 = 25,
giving it the length of 5 inches.

### How many cm squared are in a centimeter cubed?

As a cm squared has no depth, there are 0 cm squared in a cm
cubed.
Alternatively, it can be considered that a 2 dimension thing has
an infinite third dimension, so there are infinitely many cm
squared in a cm cubed.
To put it another way, the question as asked is nonsense.
cm squared are a measure of area - a thing that has only two
dimensions, NO THIRD dimension
cm cubed are a measure of volume - a thing that has THREE
dimensions.
