Your military ID works as a passport. Just be careful to which places you travel. Flashing a military ID may not be greeted by a smiling face. While I was in, I would visit Mexico and just show my military ID and come back across.

How did the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution in 1964 affect the powers of the President?

The Gulf of Tonkin Resolution expanded the powers of the President by giving him the authority to take military action in Vietnam without a formal declaration of war from Congress. This resolution effectively allowed the President to escalate US involvement in the Vietnam War without needing explicit permission from Congress. It is considered a significant expansion of executive power and has been used as a precedent for future military actions without congressional approval.

How long do you have to live in England to get a passport?

Your passport runs out on the date stamped on the identification page. Your return travel date must therefore be before that date. Most EU countries no longer have passport controls on their borders - the controls are only at the borders of the EU itself. Being an island, however, the UK does. So you will discover that you can travel freely and without needing to show your passport, until you return through UK border controls. It is, nevertheless, always advisable to carry your passport as it's the UK's form of accepted identity in other countries.

A green card allows you to enter the United States. It doesn't mean it will allow you to enter other countries, though. In the case of Mexico, you need to present your international passport; if you have an American passport you may enter Mexico without needing a visa. Otherwise, some restrictions apply but in general terms, people from developed countries don't require a visa to enter Mexico.

Do you need passport to sail through the inside passage on your own vessel?

Being a former travel assistant, my understanding is as long as you are not stepping foot or DOCKING on a foreign land, the answer would be NO. I am presuming that you are sailing from America, up through the Alaskan Inside Passage, and are concerned about needing a passport for Canada. Once again, my understanding is as long as you do NOT dock or step foot on Canadian ground, you will NOT need a passport. Happy sailing!
