Your driver's side door lock might be damaged if you cannot open it with the key but the key works on the passenger side door. You can try injecting some graphite spray into the lock to see if that frees it.
On mine I had to lock the doors back and unlock them from the passanger side. If that fails the alternate door is the back hatch door turn it two times to deactivate alarm. lock the driver side door with the key and unlk again all while door is shut of coarse On mine since I dont have the remote I have to put the key in the drivers side door, turn it 2x to the right to disarm the alarm, then once to the left to unlock the door. Works every time.
push they key in further !
The wiring or the locking mechanism may be damaged in your ford explorer. You need to take it to an auto shop to have diagnostic testing done.
The turn off switch on nearly all seatbelt alarms are located in the buckle. If your Magnum works this way all you need is a clip. Go to shhding .com Dodges has a few models that works from the unrolling of the belt (on the drivers side only). If this is the case with the Magnum, the clip will only work on the passanger side.
Turns out the plug on the lock/unlock switch was loose...must be involved somehow all is good now.
I have the same problem with my 99 explorer.I've removed the door panel and sprayed the lock mechanism with carburetor cleaner and it has improved. The power unlock works about 50%.After closer inspection I also noticed a small spring is missing from the drivers door lock and is present on all the other locks. My next effort will be to find and attach a small spring back in place.
If the window lock button is on (found on the drivers door) it will cause this to happen. Supposed to be a feature. it was not the lock botton. It was a bad ground on the relay ,power was getting to the relay ,but would not travel to back windows. Thanks For your input
maybe one of the wires connecting the button is frayed or loose?
Assuming the switches are still working, the factory alarm should shut off if you unlock either the drivers door or liftgate with the key.
if it is a factory alarm, you have to unlock the door with a key from the outside. most likely the switch is busted on the drivers side so try the passengers side. if it works, go buy a switch for the drivers side. the switch is on the end of door lock cylinder.
Have you replaced the 4x4 controller module located on the passanger kick panel? Mine works again after replacing it!!
Hate to break it to you, but there is no hp unlock code!
